Happy SUMMER!! Finally.

It’s finally warm, gosh that winter felt like it lasted forever, I couldn’t wait, I am already tanning on the lawn with my book in hand and a bubbly. It is my favourite time of year (weather wise) and I am enjoying the heck out of it.

The other day, I had some time after checking emails as I do every morning and I decided to go to my favourite neighborhood in Calgary (Elbow Park) and I just enjoyed it, I listened to the birds, I watched branches sway in the breeze, smelled fresh cut grass, got to admire these gorgeous custom homes, each giving off a completely different vibe. 

Some homes were bright and beautiful, some completely black, a couple had nothing but plant beds in the front yards keeping elderly ladies busy all day.

Honestly, that’s what I want to be doing when I am retired and we are left with

an emty nest, just poking around in my garden, planting gorgeous tulips and enjoying the breeze.

A dream for the future.

But for now I am keeping busy running Design Dreams and helping people create gorgeous interiors that speak to their souls. I absolutely believe that your home should reflect YOU. I should be able to tell the type of person you are by your interiors.

You may be someone like me, who loves character, a mix of design styles, colours, textures, a space that really tells a story - a story of the things you love.

That’s what a home should consist of, all the things you love. If you are holding onto pieces from the past that are no longer serving you and just taking up space, it’s time to donate them. One mans trash is truly another mans treasure. I try to throw out as little as possible, it helps the earth plus there are so many people out there that don’t have much and would really appreciate the things you no longer need.

It's the perfect time too for spring cleaning, making room for a new season. A blank slate is sometimes the one thing you need to spark inspiration or you just need a refresh.

This is where I come in, I help people create their dream spaces, simplistic, organized spaces that make everyday life easier and more enjoyable. I love that I get to enrich people's everyday lives. I make sure they feel happy, free (of clutter) and at ease in their homes and it’s a great feeling!
