The BIG move 📦🚚📬

Happy August!!

I love this month because it is still nice and warm outside but it means fall if around the corner and I cannot wait for the colours of fall.

I feel so much inspiration for my designs throughout the seasons and I cannot wait for the deep reds, browns and greens of fall to come into season!

Today I want to talk about manifestation, I spent the last year building my vision boards and Pinterest boards, reading affirmations and journaling. I can finally say that we have moved into my dream home.

It is a gorgeous heritage home that was built back in 1912, all of the original hardwood floors, large bay windows, door handles and even the trees surrounding the home have been here for over 200 years.

When I make my coffee and sit out on the deck in the sunshine every morning, I am truly in heaven, my own heaven that I created from my imagination. This manifestation was not easy since it is so hard to find a solid rental in Calgary, let alone in Elbow Park. This neighbourhood is full of sweet retirees that spend their days gardening and travelling. This is exactly the vibration I wanted to be around, lovely rich people who are now enjoying their lives to the fullest. I could not be more grateful for this home, it is truly the home I have been waiting for, for us.

The reason this place was so important to me, was because this is where both of our children will be born into. That is a very important part of a child's life and I could not take the next step into the future with Tyler unless we were in a space where I felt I could make it our own and we were safe, secure and simply in a happy space.

I already have so many plans for this place, I’d love to put in some garden beds in the backyard, a small sandbox for the kids, set up some yard games. Entertaining was another big reason why I was so drawn to this home since we will be hosting friends and family a ton in the summer months. I simply want to share this home with everyone I love, since that is always my goal, to make sure everyone is welcome.

I cannot wait to grow into this incredible home and build a family, it is truly perfect for us and it was 100% meant to be. I cannot thank the Universe enough for moving us into this home, as you all know, my philosophy as stated on my website reads:

This is why I became a designer, because I want everyone to feel this way about their home, our homes provide so many things for us other than survival, they provide shelter, warmth, a special feeling, safety and most importantly… love.
